Lloyds TSB Corporate was named Bank of the Year at the first Finance Directors' Excellence Awards, hosted by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Real Finance.
Finance directors from across the UK were asked to rate their levels of satisfaction with several different external providers, based on real experiences. Categories included auditors, banks, software companies and professional advisors.
In the banking category, Lloyds TSB Corporate took first place over competitors Barclays, HBOS, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland. The focus was on the quality of service provided by their main bank and the degree to which their relationship manager understood their business.
"This award demonstrates the success of our relationship strategy," said Diana Brightmore-Armour, managing director of Lloyds TSB Corporate.
"Finance directors have given us a huge vote of confidence and the credibility that comes with this will further enhance our growing reputation in the corporate marketplace."
Other winners included KPMG, which was voted Auditor of the Year, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), which won the award for Adviser of the Year.
